In our haste to move in, we got our builder to install a few basic services such  as electricity and water. For the third day in a row, the temperature has been  over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and we have decided to turn the hot water heater off.
We have a large black plastic water tank on the roof that bakes in the afternoon  sun. As a result we have lukewarm water running from our “cold” taps. In this  heat, it’s all we need. Talk about reducing our carbon footprint!
